PORTFOLIO

About Me.

Hi, I’m Ria.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the spaces around me — how light falls through a window, how a building sits within its landscape, how design can quietly influence the way people live and feel. That fascination grew into a real calling, leading me to study architecture at Cardiff University, where I recently completed my BSc.

Through my time there, I discovered a passion for creating designs that are not just visually striking, but thoughtful, sustainable, and rooted in their context. For me, architecture is about more than structures — it’s about stories, experiences, and connections.

This portfolio is a reflection of that journey: from academic projects to conceptual studies and technical work, each piece reveals how I think, experiment, and refine as I continue to shape my architectural voice.

Thank you for stepping into my world of design — I hope these projects speak to you as much as they’ve inspired me.

In my third year, I designed a Cultural and Support Hub in Stokes Croft, shaped by research and urban context. The project brought together public spaces, temporary residences, and a central atrium with a spiralling ramp to foster cultural exchange and community connection. This year strengthened my ability to develop research-led, socially responsive architecture, balancing concept, technical detail, and urban integration.

This collection showcases my early artistic exploration from high school, GCSE, and my EPQ, where I developed my skills in composition, detail, and creative expression. Through various mediums, I experimented with form, texture, and perspective, laying the foundation for my architectural approach and design thinking.
